The ever decreasing circle of time

Outsourcing – Here are my 5 R’s of bending TIME in your business.

If your processes are in your head, and you get to the end of your day and you don’t know where the time has gone, you are doing yourself, your staff and your customers a disservice. Take a look at our 5 step process flow for bending time in your business.

Review

Start by taking a blank sheet of paper and some post it notes, cast your mind back and scribble down all the things you (or your team) have done over the last couple of days. Now look at how you did it – ask yourself these questions – did I do it all myself? Could someone else do it? Did I follow a process that was documented (or not)? If I didn’t, can I get it out of my head and onto paper?

Revise

Can you revise (or write) any processes that can enable you to give those pesky paperwork tasks to someone else? Move the post it notes that you created into 3 categories: 1. Doing the Do, the thing that is your business 2. Sales and Marketing for your business 3. Pesky paperwork, be that actual paperwork, emails, book keeping, diary management etc

Realise

Can you give those pesky paperwork tasks to someone else, if only you invested the time and money to do so? Would that free up your time for more marketing? Can you systemise “Doing the Do” so someone else in your business can do the less critical tasks? Again freeing up your time? Can you make better use of software?

Re-evaluate

Keep an eye on time saved and how you use that time. Tweak your processes where necessary to stay on course.

Repeat

Do it all again and make more TIME – its addictive once you start!
